There is a great deal of history in this area that revolves around the James river and the Chesapeake Bay. Many tourists to this area never think about taking a water tour but, if you like the military or are interested in how this area was impacted by the water you will not be sorry that you added Virginia Boating into your trip.

The Norfolk cruises will take about 1 hour to reach while it will only take about 35 minutes to reach Hampton and 20 minutes to reach Yorktown.

Williamsburg Virginia and the whole Tidewater area revolves around water in one way or another. Virginia Boating is a very important part of our culture. By adding this to your vacation you will see something that many uninformed tourists miss. If you are planning a trip to the Mariners Museum try adding in the Miss Hampton 11 and see where the actual battle between the Monitor and the Merrimac took place. What a great tie in.

If you are interested in Yorktown you might want to consider taking a ride on the Schooner Alliance and sail the same waters that the ships sailed during the Battle of Yorktown.

No matter how you tie Virginia boating into your trip, you will not be disappointed.
