Busch Gardens Williamsburg
The food is actually good!

Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Busch Gardens Williamsburg restaurants have amazingly good food for an theme park. The food is prepared fresh daily in the park and you can tell. I have some favorite spots that my family usually eats at but I have tried it all! Here is a run down of your choices.

  • England- Squire's Grille- This is your basic hamburger place. Very typical park fare. Good for non-adventurous eaters.
  • Ireland- Grogan's Grille - This is my second favorite place to eat. They have Irish stew in a soda bread bowl-Yum! They have giant stuffed baked potatoes and country sausage sandwiches.
  • Germany/Oktoberfest- Das Festhaus: This is styled after a real German Festhaus complete with German sausages, red cabbage and beer. I enjoy this restaurant mostly for the entertainment that accompanies your meal. If you are going to eat here try to coordinate it with the Festhaus show.
  • Italy/Festa Italia- Ristorante Della Piazza- If you like Italian food you will like this place. They make all of their own pasta and sauces. I really like the cannelloni. My kids like the bread sticks with the dipping sauce.
  • La Cucina- Known for it's pizza and casual outside dining. This is slightly out of the way and most people forget it is there. Could keep the crowds down.
  • France/New France- Trapper Smokehouse- This is my FAVORITE place in the park! They start smoking their ribs, chicken and brisket as soon as the park opens and it is delicious! I recommend the sampler platter to have a taste of all three.

If you don't see anything that catches your fancy from this list, don't worry, there are snack bars and sweet shops scattered around the park. I guarantee you will not go hungry.

If you want to leave the park for the day and find somewhere in Williamsburg to eat, check out these other Williamsburg restaurants.

You cannot make reservations for Busch Gardens Williamsburg restaurants so you will most likely have to wait in line. Try to eat off hours either before the normal lunch hour or after. This will keep the line to a minimum.

Drink tips- You can get cups of water with ice for free at any snack bar or restaurant. This is helpful since the sodas are large and expensive. If you are a big soda drinker you can purchase a refillable cup at the beginning of the day and pay much less to get it refilled. This also goes for popcorn.

My favorite dessert: If you are a strawberry lover don't skip the ice cream in the hand made waffle cone with the strawberry topping. It is out of this world although it is huge.
